   While the Singapore race next year will technically be a night race, in that it will be held at hours that most of us would call night, it cannot be called a night race in terms of light. I mean:

   The proposal, which includes installing about 1,500 lightning projectors, powered by 12 twin-power generators at the Singapore circuit, was handed to the FIA in Paris on 10th October.

   "An overall average of about 3,000lux levels is required to illuminate the circuit, which is enough to meet High Definition Television broadcast standards," the promoters said.

   "As a result, the track will be almost four times brighter than a typical stadium."

   Heh, heh. Night race indeed. Still it should be awesome to watch. Can't wait.

   Yes, I think a night race will do wonders for the sport. I think it will be amazing to watch and night race strategies will certainly be interesting.

   The night time schedule has been finalized: Friday 2nd practice, Saturday quali and Sunday race will all start at 20:00 Singapore time. Friday 1st practice at 16:00 and Saturday practice at 17:00. Source.

   This is going to be a fantastic race, Formula One just gets better, except the fact that the FIA have now taken off Traction Control which will make the cars harder to drive.

   I just don't understand why the FIA can't leave the rules alone for a few years, they change them every year, soo gay!

   And now Bernie has got it into his head that all races that don't fit with a comfortable schedule with the Europeans should be a night race (I'm talking about the fact that he is threatening to drop the Aussie GP if they don't schedule the race at night in the future).

   Not that I mind, comfortable European times are comfortable South African times too. But shit, Bernie. Don't you think it's a bit insane to expect the Aussies to change their schedule for the Europeans?
